Telt Media is mostly me, John McDiarmid

Based in Glasgow, I have 20 years experience in broadcasting – starting in journalism and radio production, moving on to filming, directing and producing documentaries for TV. Most recently, I was the senior producer for socials at MG ALBA, delivering content for BBC ALBA. I work in both Gàidhlig and English. Tha mi fileanta san dà chànan.

I started podcasting in 2018. With my partner, we made Accentricity – a podcast about about how the way we speak relates to who we are. Accentricity was nominated in the Best New Podcast category at the British Podcast Awards 2020.

I have continued to develop and produce podcasts for a wide range of businesses, organisations and people. I am experienced in working with academics to make engaging content for specialist and general audiences.

Alongside production, I’ve taught for 15 years on the Diploma in Gaelic Media at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture. This helps inform the bespoke training I can deliver to make and your organisation better at podcasting, from complete beginner to experienced podcasters looking to improve their product, reach and impact.
